We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Therapist to join our team. The Master’s Level Mental Health Therapist is dedicated to providing treatment services in the Adult Partial Hospitalization Programs to patients experiencing moderate to severe exacerbation of psychiatric symptoms.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health treatment, with experience in working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, and children. This role involves providing therapeutic support through individual and group therapy sessions, crisis intervention, and motivational interviewing techniques. The therapist will be responsible for developing treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each client.
Duties
- Foster a supportive environment that promotes the mental health and well-being of all clients.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand clients’ mental health needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide individual therapy sessions focusing on coping strategies, emotional regulation, and personal growth.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions that encourage peer support and shared experiences among clients.
- Implement crisis intervention techniques when necessary to ensure client safety and well-being.
- Collaborate with other professionals, including special education staff, to provide holistic support for clients with developmental disabilities.
- Engage in ongoing research to stay updated on best practices in mental health therapy and interventions.
